When this film was announced, all I thought was “I want to see Saif again…” and when I thought that, I meant, Saif when he is funny, cool, charming, and sweet. The Saif audiences have come to love.

Starring Saif Ali Khan, Ileana DCruz, Govinda, Ranvir Shorey, and Kalki Koechlin, this star-packed affair is garnering the attention of many cinema-goers. Yudi, played by Saif Ali Khan, is desperate to write another script. And even more desperate is the fading actor, Armaan, played by Govinda. When Armaan tries to find a Hollywood script, turned into a Bollywood script, to save his flailing career, he also has to deal with his ex-girlfriend, played by Kalki Koechlin, who thinks they are still in a relationship. What follows is a series of funny situations in this dramatic comedy. With Kareena Kapoor Khan and Preity Zinta playing cameos in the film, the film sounded exciting. But did it live up to the hype?

This romantic comedy has all the right ingredients but like any romantic comedy, this one too flails after a certain point but picks back up again. The film is enjoyable and funny in some parts, boring and dragging in others. The thing is though that this is an out-and-out Saif film…which is what most people watching this film would be hoping for. Saif is such a suave and funny guy in so many of his films that his charm works in this film as well – and effortlessly. Ileana D’Cruz is sweet and lovable, as she tends to portray herself. Her character does not seem to require much of a challenge per se but she manages to stand out yet again. Kalki is always a delight to watch, as she is a little bit of zing and zang. Govinda comes out so well in the role he is given that one wishes we saw more of him.

The performances along with the music of the film make for a good romantic outing.  This is worth a watch.
