Namaste England Synopsis (Story)

As you might have already known… Param (Arjun Kapoor) falls in love with Jasmeet (Parineeti Chopra). It is love at first dance for him and he wants to spend the rest of his life with the Punjabi kudi. But Punjabi Kudi has her own issues. She comes from a patriarchal family, one that sees women as only instruments to breed children. As a result, Jasmeet despite being educated and capable, is not allowed to go out anywhere. She is not allowed to seek employment either. Param, who like we said before, wants to spend his life with Jasmeet, like a typical pursuer promises her everything, including a chance to work and a UK residency. As a result, Jasmeet almost immediately wants to get married to him.

They do that, however the UK residency permit doesn’t work out the way Jasmeet wants it. Param on the other hand is already happy to have married the lady he loves, he doesn’t realise that she might just leave him for her England dreams. The twist comes right at the time of the interval, when all the song and dance has made your head a little soft, so you don’t see it coming.

What happens next is that Param decides to follow his lady who has already worked out everything just the way she wanted it for herself, including citizenship. Param, of course, uses the unlawful way to enter the country, his tryst with the law and with Jasmeet, make the rest of the film.
