Badhaai Ho Synopsis (Story)

Nakul Kaushik (Ayushmann Khurrana) works in an IT company; he is in love with Renee (Sanya Malhotra). While Nakul comes from a typical middle class family, living in a joint family with his grandmother, parents and younger brother, Renee is more upper class Delhi. After the brief introduction, we are informed about the ‘chotta mehmaan’ that is coming in the Kaushik family. Jitendra Kaushik (Gajraj Rao) who is about to retire from his job as a railway ticket collector announces it to the family with utmost shame, while his wife, Nakul’s mother, is melting with embarrassment where she stands. Of course, you register their expressions only after you see the shock run through the entire household.
