  • Bollywood Film-Fame Canada is easily accessible as it is available at many South Asian stores, boutiques, restaurants, and high-end retailers across the Greater Toronto Area. An option for subscription packages is also available for those clients who do not reside within the GTA or cannot visit one of our distributing centres or would simply like to enjoy the convenience of Bollywood Film-Fame Canada being delivered to their doorstep. We have a readership that boasts of 100,000 readers as this magazine is not just available at retail stores and vendors, but doctors offices, lawyers offices, where patrons frequent, visit, and read. Judge for yourself - our magazine is such that anyone who picks a copy up, will keep it because of its high quality. This significantly increases our readership.
  • With high quality, a glossy look, and a unique and professional design, Bollywood Film-Fame Canada is a promising venture which catches the eyes of the public and the public picks up the issue - why would it not? It's free!

Importance of Bollywood Film-Fame Canada

  • We are the only Bollywood entertainment magazine which features real interviews, real articles, written by our writers here, presented in a professional manner, which is offered to the Greater Toronto Area and Toronto community at no cost.
  • Statistics Canada predicts that the South Asian community is estimated to become the largest ethnic group in Canada by 2017. Furthermore, the South Asian community is currently one of the most education and highest income-earning ethnic groups residing within Canada. With this comes a growing enthusiasm in non-South Asians about Bollywood. Let us provide you with some examples. Just within the last few years, we have:
    • Witnessed the IIFAs coming to Toronto and taking it by storm. We were there.
    • Witnessed Teri Meri Kahaani being premiered in Toronto. We were there.
    • Witnessed TIFF featuring Bollywood films each year. This year is Shuddh Desi Romance, Qissa, and Lunchbox. We were there.
  • We are at every South Asian event. From an advertiser's perspective, this is key. We are providing a high quality, free publication which features your company. Just within the last year, we have been at:
    • The Suhaag Show
    • Dreams Wedding Show
    • Kismet Wedding Show
    • Miss India-Canada Pageant
    • Concerts: Sunidhi Chauhan & Ali Zafar, Adnan Sami, Sukhwinder Singh, Shreya Ghoshal (upcoming)
    • Festivals: desiFEST, Mosaic, Albion-Islington Fusion of Taste, and the Caribbean festival (Canadian Fest 2013)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the target audience like?

The good thing about a Bollywood magazine like ours is that both the old and the young can find something interesting for themselves given our editorial content. Bollywood movies are now playing at AMC, Famous Players, and Cineplex. This expands our target audience to allow for even those who are not from the South Asian community. In fact, many of our subscribers are not South Asian!

What is the circulation like?

  • More than 30,000 copies are printed. An estimated 100,000 readership exists assuming 4-5 people per household/office read the magazine.
  • For a full list of stores, please see the Distribution List attached. The magazine can be found at retailers, professional officers, fashion stores, hair salons and boutiques, and local grocery stores. The magazine can be found at every major South Asian event in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

Advertising in a newspaper is much cheaper - why should I advertise in your magazine?

  • Bollywood Film-Fame Canada is high in quality, rich in content.
  • BFFC has a wide target audience. Both the young and old are likely to pick up a magazine. Not all will pick up a newspaper. It is easy to read, easy to carry.
  • People tend to discard newspapers. People do not discard magazines. Magazines are kept at home, on bookshelves, on racks, on centre tables.
  • This high quality magazine is free. There is many more people who would pick up a free magazine than a free newspaper.
  • All of our editorial content (from archives) will soon be online, published on our website, which is soon to be launched (by October-November 2013). We also have a growing online presence through Facebook and Twitter. Talk to us about how we can give you increased exposure online as we talk to you about our custom advertising packages!

Why shouldn't I just advertise in a directory?

  • A directory is a reference guide at best. People do not pick up a directory easily and surf through it. It also has a lot more competition.
  • BFFC is more likely to be picked up because of curiosity. Entertainment is one thing everyone is usually interested in.
  • BFFC is in the market for 60 days as it is a bi-monthly magazine. With issues coming out six times a year and staying in the market year-round, it provides a considerable amount of time for word of mouth and maximum exposure for your business.
  • If a phone directory, newspaper, and BFFC is sitting in the doctor's office you are waiting in, which one would you pick up?
