A year of fearless filmmaking for Yoodlee Films

 

Yoodlee Films has had quite an exciting year. Its mantra of fearless filmmaking has made it go all out with varied and strong content films for its audience, both in theatre and on the OTT platform. Critics and audiences too have appreciated the kind of films being released from the Yoodlee Films stable.

 

Let’s take a quick look at the films released by Yoodlee Films in 2018.

 

1.       Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz 

 

Yoodlee Films' first film this year was ‘Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz’ which received immense critical acclaim for its relatable storyline and brilliant performances with the audiences also loving the film.

 

Starring Geetanjali Thapa and Zain Khan Durrani, the film was Yoodlee Films’ first theatrical release this year and was praised for its ability to show how love in the time of social media can stay relevant with the film also being called an ‘utterly delicious recipe of digital romance’.

 

This film is now streaming on Netflix and is considered to be one of the best romantic love stories to watch on Netflix.

 

 2.       Brij Mohan Amar Rahe

 

Yoodlee Films' next release ‘Brij Mohan Amar Rahe’ was a con drama which premiered as its first ever 'Netflix Original'. 

 

Starring Arjun Mathur, Nidhi Singh and Sheetal Thakur, this film is a quirky comedy-thriller film about a man who tries to fake his own death to save himself from loan sharks and the series of unfortunate instances gets him entangled in his own lies.  The film was appreciated for its dark humor and unique story line.

 

3.       Ascharyachakit!

 

Yoodlee Films ended the year with a bang. Its next film having received a lot of attention from the media ever since news of this film was first out, Yoodlee Films’ ‘Ascharyachakit!’ premiered on Netflix with a direct digital release on the OTT platform.

 

It garnered praise for its bold, strong content and powerful acting prowess by Priyanka Bose, Santosh Juvekar, Vaibhav Raj Gupta and Ankit Raaj. This film also began trending on Netflix post its release.

 

From the varied mix of films it offered its audience across the theatrical and digital platforms to becoming one of the most promising production houses to look out for, clearly, 2018 has been the year for Yoodlee Films.

 

So what can we expect from Yoodlee Films in 2019? Yoodlee Films has an interesting line-up of upcoming films for 2019 which include ‘Noblemen’ starring Kunal Kapur, ‘Music Teacher’ starring Manav Kaul and ‘Hamid’ directed by Aijaz Khan.
